Chiropractic Care: the Solution

Chiropractic is a natural, alternative solution to treat many conditions without the use of drugs and/or invasive surgery. An ample number of health problems are rooted from malposition of vertebrae and dysfunction of the spinal joint, which can irritate the spinal nerves and result in pain and nerve interference throughout the body. Chiropractic care fixes the malpositioned vertebrae, restoring spinal balance, activating sensory proprioception, and removing the irritation thereby allowing the body to heal itself.

History of Chiropractic

Although spinal manipulation can be traced back to the time of Hippocrates, the chiropractic profession officially originated in the 1890s in the United States. The first chiropractic patient was treated for hearing loss by D. D. Palmer in 1890 and the chiropractic profession was further developed by his son B. J. Palmer in the early 20th century.

Palmer believed strongly in the influence of the nervous system on health. Your spinal column is a series of movable bones that begin at the base of your skull and end in the center of your hips. Thirty-one pairs of spinal nerves extend down the spine from the brain and exit through a series of openings. The nerves leave the spine and form a complicated network that influences every living tissue in your body. If these nerves are irritated for any reason, they commonly cause pain, muscle spasm, and lost or diminished sensations, like tingling or numbness in varying parts of the body, for example.

Chiropractic: A Natural Way to Treat

The Activator Method Chiropractic Technique is a gentle, low-force, and high-speed approach to chiropractic care. Restoring spinal alignments precisely, safely, and effectively has been the driving force behind the Activator Method development. The technique utilizes specific protocols, leg length inequality, and over 200 tests developed for the Activator Method and designed to detect spinal and extra-spinal joint dysfunction.

This technique has been used safely on patients of all ages, including children and the elderly, since the late 1960s, helping people with a variety of health problems, like arthritis, osteoporosis, or other bone-weakening conditions, for example. It has grown to become the most used instrument chiropractic technique.
